(佛陀)住在舍卫城......"比丘们,由于界的多样性,产生了想的多样性;由于想的多样性,产生了思惟的多样性;由于思惟的多样性,产生了触的多样性;由于触的多样性,产生了受的多样性;由于受的多样性,产生了欲的多样性;由于欲的多样性,产生了热恼的多样性;由于热恼的多样性,产生了寻求的多样性;由于寻求的多样性,产生了获得的多样性。比丘们,什么是界的多样性?色界...法界 - 这就是所谓的界的多样性。"

第二品


七界经


(佛陀)住在舍卫城......"比丘们,有七种界。哪七种?光明界、净妙界、空无边处界、识无边处界、无所有处界、非想非非想处界、想受灭界 - 比丘们,这就是七种界。"


当这么说时,一位比丘对世尊说:"尊者,这光明界、净妙界、空无边处界、识无边处界、无所有处界、非想非非想处界、想受灭界 - 尊者,这些界缘于什么而被认知?"


"比丘,这光明界 - 这界缘于黑暗而被认知。比丘,这净妙界 - 这界缘于不净而被认知。比丘,这空无边处界 - 这界缘于色而被认知。比丘,这识无边处界 - 这界缘于空无边处而被认知。比丘,这无所有处界 - 这界缘于识无边处而被认知。比丘,这非想非非想处界 - 这界缘于无所有处而被认知。比丘,这想受灭界 - 这界缘于灭而被认知。"

12 有因经


(佛陀)住在舍卫城......"比丘们,欲寻是有因而生,不是无因而生;嗔寻是有因而生,不是无因而生;害寻是有因而生,不是无因而生。"


"比丘们,如何欲寻是有因而生,不是无因而生;嗔寻是有因而生,不是无因而生;害寻是有因而生,不是无因而生?比丘们,缘于欲界而生起欲想,缘于欲想而生起欲思惟,缘于欲思惟而生起欲欲,缘于欲欲而生起欲热恼,缘于欲热恼而生起欲寻求。比丘们,未听闻的凡夫在寻求欲寻求时,以三种方式行邪行 - 身、语、意。"


"比丘们,缘于嗔界而生起嗔想,缘于嗔想而生起嗔思惟...嗔欲...嗔热恼...嗔寻求...比丘们,未听闻的凡夫在寻求嗔寻求时,以三种方式行邪行 - 身、语、意。"


"比丘们,缘于害界而生起害想;缘于害想而生起害思惟...害欲...害热恼...害寻求...比丘们,未听闻的凡夫在寻求害寻求时,以三种方式行邪行 - 身、语、意。"


"比丘们,就像一个人把一个燃烧的火把扔在干草堆里;如果他不用手脚迅速扑灭,那么依赖草木而生存的生物就会遭遇不幸和灾难。同样地,比丘们,任何沙门或婆罗门,如果不迅速舍弃、驱除、消灭、令不存在已生起的不正想,他在现法中就会住于苦、忧、恼、热恼;身坏命终后,恶趣可以预期。"


"比丘们,出离寻是有因而生,不是无因而生;无嗔寻是有因而生,不是无因而生;无害寻是有因而生,不是无因而生。"
