7. 海洋经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城......"比丘们,假如有人从大海中取出两三滴水。比丘们,你们认为哪个更多:取出的两三滴水,还是大海中的水?"
[比丘们回答]:"尊者,大海中的水更多;取出的两三滴水极其微小。与大海中的水相比,取出的两三滴水连百分之一、千分之一、十万分之一都不到。"
[佛陀说]:"同样地,比丘们......获得法眼。"这是第七经。
8. 第二海洋经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城......"比丘们,假如大海干涸枯竭,只剩下两三滴水。比丘们,你们认为哪个更多:已经干涸枯竭的大海水,还是剩下的两三滴水?"
[比丘们回答]:"尊者,已经干涸枯竭的大海水更多;剩下的两三滴水极其微小。与已经干涸枯竭的大海水相比,剩下的两三滴水连百分之一、千分之一、十万分之一都不到。"
[佛陀说]:"同样地,比丘们......获得法眼。"这是第八经。
9. 山经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城......"比丘们,假如有人在喜马拉雅山王旁边放置七粒芥子大小的石子。比丘们,你们认为哪个更大:那七粒芥子大小的石子,还是喜马拉雅山王?"
[比丘们回答]:"尊者,喜马拉雅山王更大;七粒芥子大小的石子极其微小。与喜马拉雅山王相比,七粒芥子大小的石子连百分之一、千分之一、十万分之一都不到。"
[佛陀说]:"同样地......获得法眼。"这是第九经。
10. 第二山经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城......"比丘们,假如喜马拉雅山王消失殆尽,只剩下七粒芥子大小的石子。比丘们,你们认为哪个更多:已经消失的喜马拉雅山王,还是剩下的七粒芥子大小的石子?"
[比丘们回答]:"尊者,已经消失的喜马拉雅山王更多;剩下的七粒芥子大小的石子极其微小。与已经消失的喜马拉雅山王相比,剩下的七粒芥子大小的石子连百分之一、千分之一、十万分之一都不到。"
[佛陀说]:"同样地,比丘们,对于已经证悟的圣弟子来说,已经灭尽的苦更多;剩下的苦极其微小。与已经灭尽的苦相比,剩下的苦连百分之一、千分之一、十万分之一都不到,最多只有七次往返。比丘们,法的证悟如此重要,获得法眼如此重要。"这是第十经。
11. 第三山经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城......"比丘们,假如有人在须弥山王旁边放置七粒绿豆大小的石子。比丘们,你们认为哪个更大:那七粒绿豆大小的石子,还是须弥山王?"
[比丘们回答]:"尊者,须弥山王更大;七粒绿豆大小的石子极其微小。与须弥山王相比,七粒绿豆大小的石子连百分之一、千分之一、十万分之一都不到。"
[佛陀说]:"同样地,比丘们,与已证悟的圣弟子的成就相比,其他外道沙门、婆罗门和游方者的成就连百分之一、千分之一、十万分之一都不到。比丘们,正见者的成就如此伟大,智慧如此广大。"这是第十一经。

“Etadeva, bhante, bahutaraṃ yadidaṃ sineru pabbatarājā; appamattikā satta muggamattiyo pāsāṇasakkharā upanikkhittā.
